Living Puzzle

Scattered pieces on the floor,
Needing picked up once more.

~

I've tried to put myself together,
Far too many bad attempts.

Once again one piece is missing,
The center piece seems to be exempt.

~

So this time I try something new,
I'll mix up the pieces and give them to you.

~

I'm broken here before you now,
I've given up all my way.

This life has become such a disaster,
So I surrender all the pieces to you today.

~

My perception of this puzzle must have been so dense,
because before you touched it, nothing made sense.

~

But now that I've laid it in your hands,
I now know that you are the key.

I could never finish it on my own,
I was incomplete, but yet you completed me.
